One of the pleasures of printmaking is choosing specialist, handmade papers to print your work on. How much more satisfying would it be if you had made the paper yourself?
That thought inspired us to develop From Pulp to Print, a unique hybrid course that covers both printmaking and paper-making, so that you can achieve this in just three sessions.
In week one you will learn how to make paper from recycled materials and then, while it dries, find out about the relief printmaking technique of lino-cutting which you will use in week two to create your own design for print.
In the final week, you will combine these skills to produce an original and entirely handmade edition of either your own greetings cards, gift labels, bookmarks or images to frame, on your own paper.
