This is a specialised printmaking course for people who are unemployed and finding it hard to look for work, which we designed with the DWP and the National Skills Agency. The courses we ran from our Tower Street Print Studio were funded by the European Social Fund and the DWP so were free to participants. Each course consisted of twelve half-day workshops and included an exhibition of our students work, to showcase their skills.

Our students have progressed into apprenticeships, paid work, further education and vocational training. They say that they found their Press Ahead courses helped them feel more confident and able to consider job hunting after illness or redundancy.
